Description
Un-Used ( as far as I can tell) Veritas made in Canada Medium Shoulder plane complete with never sharpened O1 blade. This box has a manufacturing date of February 22 2007 stamped on it but is for the Veritas bullnose plane ... the collector that had this plane must have mixed the boxes. This plane has a slightly different casting than current models. VERITAS and CANADA is now Cast into the body of the plane instead of the LEVER CAP as on this model . The plane comes in this box with instructions and warranty card ... for the bullnose plane . The plane has been in storage for 19 years ( the collector recalled buying a large number of Veritas planes all at the same time ... so I am assuming the boxes were switched shortly after purchase) and has a few spots of light oxidation ( see red arrows on pics...I have tried to show any spots) . It is very light and would easily come off with some metal polish or 0000 steel wool. I have taken pictures to show this. The blade has never been sharpened and comes in the original specially treated bag that stops oxidation. A wonderful early model made by a Canadian Icon !
