These files came with a large lot of military surplus that had been packed away since the 1960s. The files came packed ( I have showed the box for informational purposes only- they are not included with the files) in lovely cardboard boxes with steel corners. They are stamped Warding Bastard on one side and have had the manufactures name ground off on the other. Strangely this was done during the manufacturing process prior to heat treating . If it had been done after heat treating the file would be shiny in this area instead of the consistent dull gray of the rest of the file. We have sold hundreds of these files to machinists and knife makers among others and they are premium quality .  The 8\" length of the file does not include the tang.
