They were ordered in the mid 1980s by the US military and never opened or distributed. These loupes are made to military standards and are of the highest quality with precision ground optical glass lenses instead of cheap plastic like the ones you commonly find today. The lenses each have different magnification. 4x on one and 5x on the other. They can be used individually or in combination for powerful 9x magnification . Both lenses easily fold into the handle for safe storage from scratches. The handle is also beautifully made , it features lengthwise striations that provides a good grip and looks fantastic. The material the handle is made from is beautifully polished and may be bakelite or something similar.

These pocket loupes are ideal for inspecting small parts, splinters, stamps , coins, jewellery or even removing ticks.

Premium vintage quality !

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0565/1778/7844/files/IMG_2636_5cf139a8-33dd-469b-811a-48bc227b12b6.jpg?v=1791473558
https://cardontools.com/products/new-old-stock-1980s-bausch-lomb-usa-made-4x-5x-9x-folding-pocket-magnifier-loupe-with-ground-glass-lenses
