To protect it the saw was wrapped in brown protective paper then wrapped in cheese cloth that had been soaked in beeswax or paraffin wax. This created a water proof package and then it was wrapped in another layer of brown paper. I have shown each layer as I cut through them. The saw looks like the day it was made. It is truly a beautiful time capsule. The saw is a 26\" 8 point Cross Cut.
