This is a real classic handicraft knife that has been part of the Swedish handicraft tradition for over a century. It is also easy to sharpen, which means that you can experience it over and over again. With a barrel-shaped red-stained birch handle, finger guard and a 2.5 mm thick carbon steel blade, no task is impossible. The polymer sheath has a polished finish and is clad with the Dalecarlian coat of arms. Complemented by a belt loop of Swedish vegetable-tanned leather, it is designed to withstand the test of time for generations to come. Carbon steel rusts, so wipe and oil the blade after use. These characteristic craft knives with red-stained birch handles were first introduced about a hundred years ago with the ambition of imitating an exclusive mahogany-handled knife. The barrel-shaped handle in oiled Scandinavian birch is designed to fit comfortably in the hand, even during extended use. The finger guard guarantees a safe grip. The knife comes with a plastic sheath with a polished surface and the Dalecarlian coat of arms, plus a belt loop made of vegetable-tanned leather.

GERMAN CARBON STEEL FOR LONG-LASTING SHARPNESS

The 2.5 mm thick, 105 mm long blade is made from German carbon steel (C100S) that maintains optimal sharpness over time and is easy to sharpen. The blade has a hardness of 58.5 HRC and a polished surface that protects against rust but should always be wiped and oiled after use.
