Our invisible nailer, a specialized small plane, avoids the problem by raising a small shaving, which is glued down again after you have installed a small screw or nail. It has numerous applications. The invisible nailer clamps a specially designed 1\/4\" chisel (with gouge-shaped edges to avoid side tear-out) at a 15° angle; its projection from the sole regulates the thickness of the shaving.
