2 New Old Stock Large Japanese Waterstones - KING brand Deluxe Large 800X - MESUKI Whetstone COARSE

The KING brand Deluxe Large 800X waterstone measures 209 mm ( about 8" ) x 70 mm x 30 mm is a medium grit stone that cuts much more quickly than a 1000 X stone. This stone would have been made in the 1980s and has been in storage ever since. The box is slightly scuffed but otherwise excellent. The original cellophane wrapping on the stone has started to perish but the stone is perfect and new. The stone still retains its original paper label beneath the cellophane. 

The Mesuki whetstone is a large , Coarse Grit Japanese Waterstone— measuring about 8  x 2 1/2  x 2 inches made in the 1980's in Japan. It is designed for heavy edge repair, resetting bevels, or removing chips and deep wear from knives and tools. This stone is new old stock . The box is in good but lightly scuffed condition from years of warehouse storage. The original paper label is still on the face of the stone. One corner of the stone has a chip but I believe this was from manufacturing not damage from storage as there is NO stone chips or dust in the box.
