New (VERY) Old Stock F HOPKEN & SON Troy Ounce Weight Set. These sets come wrapped in the original and un-opened packaging . I have opened this set for the pictures only. The solid Mahogany block that I opened has some dings in its edges from being in warehouse storage for decades. These dings were sustained despite the protective paper. The one you receive may or may not have similar marks . I am not opening each set so the purchaser can have the pleasure of opening this time capsule. F Hopken & Son was a renowned maker of precision balances and calibration weight sets for precious metals from the late 19th Century until the early 20th Century. Various sources state that the company ceased operations anywhere between 1920-1950. So at the very least these sets are 76 years old and probably much older ! These sets include the following sized ( aluminum I think ) Pennyweights and Solid Brass TROY OZ weights all in a Solid Mahogany wood block:

There is a full set of very tiny weights that appear to be a silver metal ( perhaps aluminum) that are found in a hole beneath the silver colored disc that is set into the block. These tiny weights are the Pennyweights.
These sets are very beautiful and are unheard of to be found complete and New Old Stock.
